Driving I-5, Northbound

If driving I-5 northbound, there are two areas of road construction South of Bellingham. Possible delays; consider alternate routes, including SR 9 and SR 11.

  • Northbound and southbound I-5 will be reduced to a single lane near Alger/Lake Samish Road (exit 240).

  • Northbound & southbound I-5 will use temporary, two-lane bypass roads near Chuckanut Creek (milepost 247).

San Juan Cruises Parking

San Juan Cruises is located at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal:
355 Harris Avenue #104
Bellingham, WA 98225

We will line up to board the boat at 5:30 PM to the left of the Ferry Terminal Building entrance.

Parking Options

The Port of Bellingham charges 50¢/hour for parking in the large lot with numbered spaces about 30 yards in front of the terminal building.

Two-Hour Free Parking
Two-hour free parking spaces are located closest to the BCT for customers visiting terminal shops, cafes, or charter companies. Please note that our cruise is 2 hours long, so parking in this area puts you at risk of ticketing.

Short-term Parking
Short-term parking is for 2-6 hour stays. The lot is located just past the 2-hour parking lot next to the Bellingham Cruise Terminal. A pay station kiosk is located at the entrance of the lot. Please note your license plate number and parking stall number prior to payment. The lot is not locked in the evenings to allow for easy entry and exit for customers.

Overflow/Long-Term Parking
This lot is located across from the Fairhaven Station at 401 Harris Avenue. The secured lot is available for day-use overflow parking. The parking lot gate is locked in the evenings between 10:45 and 11 p.m. and is reopened each morning between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. A pay station kiosk is located at the entrance. Payment for parking is either by cash or with debit/credit cards. Please pay with U.S. funds only. There are no refunds issued for parking, so please be sure to verify your return day/time in advance. Parking receipts will be issued at the ticket kiosk
